We are a licensed & insured company committed to providing safe, eco-friendly charters that protect and respect our local waters and wildlife. Because of our commitment to conservation, our charters emphasize the importance of clean waters and proper wildlife care. In addition to observing the natural beauty of our city, all of our charters include historical facts about St. Augustine and its unique ecological environment. No worries! There are a handful of other amazing guides in the area that we work with for buddy boat charters. Depending on size of group, we will split you between the boats.
Since we aim to keep Florida beautiful, a percentage of the proceeds from each charter is donated to our non-profit company, Florida Republic. Florida Republic partners with conservation groups like Keepers of the Coast and Florida Wildlife Corridor to protect and preserve our Florida ecosystems. Meet Your Captain,
AJ Gruber
Captain AJ grew up bass fishing in the neighborhood ponds and saltwater fishing on his uncle’s boat. After a career of restaurant management in downtown St. Augustine, Captain AJ finally came to the realization that he belonged on the water. He started out by buying a simple kayak that he remodeled into an impressive fishing rig. It wasn’t long until he mastered fishing tactics and became a successful kayak angler. After numerous rewarding fishing trips with his buddies, he started leading solo guide trips. Eventually, he received his captain’s license and began pursuing his life-long passion as a full-time fishing guide. Captain AJ is adventurous, knowledgeable and is always looking forward to welcoming you on board!
